2017 Rosie Oldham, BS RN LNCC

Since 1992, Rosie Oldham has served as Founder, President, CEO and now, Executive Advisor to R&G Medical Legal Solutions, LLC.  R&G provides comprehensive legal nurse consulting, medical data extraction, record retrieval and scanning services to pharmaceutical companies, insurance carriers and law firms internationally.

She’s been an active registered nurse since 1981 and is credentialed as a Legal Nurse Consultant, Certified (LNCC) by the American Legal Nurse Consultant Certification Board (ALNCCB), which is the certifying body of the American Association of Legal Nurse Consultants (AALNC.) She continues to support the AALNC “Legal Nurse Consultant Certified” credentialing process, and, in 2012 and 2013 provided numerous review presentations online for nurses sitting for the extensive exam.

From 2001-2002, Rosie served as the National President for AALNC. Later, in 2007, she delivered the closing keynote speech, entitled, “Navigating Today’s Business Challenges and Technical Environment” at the AALNC National Education Forum.

Rosie continues to speak nationally on a variety of medical/legal issues to nursing organizations, bar associations and physician groups. She serves as a mentor to many nurses pursuing the legal nurse consulting field through one-on-one communications and web-hosted events. She’s also appeared on various radio and television shows promoting the use of the internet for medical/legal research.

Rosie’s nursing background includes roles as the Director of Nursing, a Risk Manager and a Quality Improvement Coordinator. She worked in home health care, medical-surgical nursing, psychiatric nursing and chemical dependency. Her years of experience include mass tort litigation, Multi-District Litigation (MDL) coordinated proceedings, data extraction for adverse event reporting and managing class action settlements internationally.

2003 National Leadership Award as an honorary Co-Chairman from the State of Arizona for the Business Advisory Council to the White House.

2005 Named Business Woman of the Year-Arizona by the 2004 Business Advisory Council to the White House.

2007 Member of the Year- American Association of Legal Nurse Consultants.

2006 Congressional Medal of Distinction for outstanding leadership in business and contributions to the local economy.

2016 Daphne Press, RN

Daphne Press received her degree from Troy State University School of Nursing in Montgomery, AL (now, Troy University Montgomery) in 1997. She spent much of her career traveling as a contract nurse across the United States. She's worked in Orthopedic Rehab, Brain Injury Rehab, Neuro-ICU, Cardio-Pulmonary ICU, Level 1 and Level 2 ER, Occupational Health, Summer Camp and Burn ICU.

In 2011, she got her start in Legal Nurse Consulting while assisting the Law Office of Pamela Eaton, in criminal appeals case review and mitigation. Since then, she's tackled class-action defense in a high-profile, government case, slip and fall insurance claims and plaintiff cases including medical malpractice and wrongful death.

In 2013, she joined the AALNC and is devoted to furthering the education of nurses in the legal field through her position on the board of the Phoenix Chapter of the AALNC. She's been a course reviewer for the AALNC National Headquarters' online education program for several modules. In 2015, she served on the AALNC Presidential Task Force to Review LNC Standards of Care at the invitation of then President, Julie Dickinson.

She volunteers for the American Bar Association (ABA) Health Law Section, Nursing and Allied Healthcare Professionals Task Force. In this role, she's presented several webinars on nursing issues, located and coordinated nationally renowned speakers in the Health Law Industry, assisted in national conference program development, served as proofreader and critic for webinars, promoted CLE events though social media and facilitated feedback and evaluation for the ABA, production staff and speakers. She is currently co-authoring and editing the revision of a legal issues in nursing textbook with Texas attorney and nurse, Marc Meyer and former 2012 AALNC National President, Sharon McQuown.

As the 2015 President of the Phoenix Chapter of AALNC, she helped to develop this website and continues to assist in its maintenance.

2015 Abby Davis, RN BSN LNC

Abby Davis, RN graduated from Boston University in 1987 with her Bachelor of Science Degree. She worked at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston, MA for 10 years in the areas of Telemetry, Cardiac ICU, Medical ICU, Cardiac-Surgery ICU and Neuroscience ICU. 

After moving to Scottsdale, AZ in 1996, Ms. Davis worked at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Phoenix for 10 years where she worked in a variety of ICU settings: Medical, Surgical, Cardiac and Neuroscience.  Ms. Davis also worked in Endoscopy, Lithotripsy and PACU where she provided care to both the adult and pediatric populations.  Ms. Davis worked in the Pre-Op areas educating and preparing adult and pediatric patients for surgery.

Ms. Davis became a Certified Legal Nurse Consultant in 2006 and has worked in Defense Medical Litigation since 2007. 

Ms. Davis is married and has two sons. Some of her hobbies include fitness (boot camp), hiking, cooking and reading.

2014 Lorie Matlick, RN LNC

Lorie began her nursing career in Pediatrics, first in the acute care setting in New York and then managing a Pediatric practice for 15 years in South Florida.  She taught in a vocational nursing program in South Florida and upon moving to Arizona was a school and camp nurse and then was a Clinical Director of a Sub-Acute unit for a Rehabilitation/LTC facility. Lorie has experience in the specialties of infection control, education, hospice and clinical documentation.  She began her LNC career in Defense Medical-Malpractice 10 years ago and currently works for a Plaintiff  Personal Injury firm.
